Guilty Pleasures...........

So, I've decided to let you guys in on some of my guilty pleasures I've been enjoying as of late. I call these "guilty pleasures" because I'm sure there are more worthy things that I can be doing with my time, but here goes......

1) The Twighlight Series by Stephenie Meyer

I am addicted to these books! I'm only on the second one, "New Moon", but I can't put it down. Originally written for the "Young Adult" audience, the books have become widely popular among all age groups. In a nutshell, the story involves an "ordinary" girl who falls in love with an "extraordinary" vampire!!!! Doesn't that make you want to run out and buy the book? Luckily, I have a friend who is a voracious reader and was kind enough to lend me hers. The fourth book doesn't come out until August, so I'm on a mission to finish all three before then. Too bad the books are about 600 pages each. The series has been touted as being the next "Harry Potter"....but I never could get into Harry Potter, so I can't concur.
2) Little Azio's Pizza and Pasta

Ron, Gracie and I tried this little pizzeria last Saturday and now we're in love :) The pizza has a super thin crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Gracie has already asked several times to go back. I'm sure we'll be frequenting the place more often in the future. I believe it is a chain, but we tried the one on Chastain near Taco Mac and Chick-Fil-A.

3) "Photo Freedom" by Stacy Julian

For all you scrapbookers out there, you know what I'm talking about when I say that scrapbooking can leave you feeling overwhelmed and behind. Stacy Julian's approach to organizing and scrapbooking your photos is great and I would recommend it to everyone. "The Big Picture" by Stacy Julian is also a great scrapbooking resource. Stacy is the founder of "Simple Scrapbooks"....a celebrity in the scrabooking world.
4) So You Think You Can Dance

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. I don't get to watch much TV, but every Wednesday night Gracie and I are glued to the television. My favorite couple on the show is Chelsie and Mark, shown above. They are both so quirky and unique. Dance has always been a part of my life, from childhood through my young adulthood. I've always said that if I had the talent (and the body :) ) I would definitely choose dance as my profession. Quite different from a CPA, huh!!!

4) Wife in the Fast Lane

For all you blog readers, take a peek at this one http://www.occasionallyfunny.blogspot.com/

Mix 1 Pt CEO Oil Wife, 1 Pt Mommy, and 1 Pt Socialite and you get the blog of a ridiculously rich woman in Texas who is married to the CEO of some oil company. It's fun to live vicariously through someone who is actually enjoying the benefits of a $140 barrel of oil. I'm even more intrigued by this blog because she sometimes mentions familiar people from Down da Bayou. I found this blog on another one of my favorites, http://www.dooce.com/

5) Sara Bareilles - Little Voice

This is my favorite CD at the moment. You may know her recent hit "Love Song", but the rest of her album is really good. She's kind of a mix between Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple and KT Tunstall.....the perfect mix for a 45 minute commute after a long day at work.
