A Day in the life of Gracie
Day at the Museum
On Sunday we ventured downtown to check out Atlanta's Fernbank Museum of Natural History. There was a special exhibit on display: Frogs - A Chorus of Colors. It was so neat. There were over 100 live frogs of different species. There were several activies for kids that were frog themed. You will see Gracie in her Frog mask below. Those of you in the Bradberry family will appreciate it when I say that Uncle Leonard's name came up quite a few times at the museum! The rest of the museum was very interesting too. As you can see there were several life size dinosaur replicas....SCARY! All in all it was a great Sunday.

45 mintues, so we went next door and had lunch at Houstons. Here is Gracie drinking her chocolate milk.
YEOWWWWW
You know those stickers you get when you donate to the March of Dimes, American Heart Assoc., etc.....well Gracie found them and decided to use them on Ron's hairy legs. She would press it down on his legs, then pull it off real fast! It was pretty funny while it lasted. After about 5 times, Ron couldn't take the pain anymore. Notice his face in the second picture. It brings to mind a certain scene from the "40 year old Virgin".

Hey Donkey, where's Shrek?
What goes around comes around
Several years ago I told Ron that he needed a hobby. He picked up Golf. He has become obsessed with the game and plays it every chance he gets. Recently he said that I needed a hobby....so I picked up Scrap booking. I'm addicted. I've slowly made progress and my pages have come a long way. Here are a few pics of my most recent creations.
What a Life!
Gracie can spend hours on the computer (no, we don't allow her to spend hours). Yes, she does know how to navigate a mouse and a touch pad on a laptop. Sometimes I think she can work a computer better than me. For all of you with preschoolers, may I recommend www.starfall.com . Gracie loves this website and so do I. It is very educational and entertaining.

Monkey Joes's .....NOT
My friend Megan and I decided to meet up this past Saturday to catch up. We haven't seen each other since I left Home Depot. Our plan was to take the girls to Monkey Joe's. Well, that plan changed quickly when we walked in and it was pure chaos. There were so many kids, unsupervised I might add. So, we decided to try this "paint your own" pottery place called "Just Fired". It was so much fun. I think Megan and I enjoyed it just as much as the girls. We don't have our finished product yet, so I couldn't post any pictures of that. Gracie painted a ballet slipper - it was a beautiful mix of pink, purple, green, yellow, and red....imagine that!
Little Miss Independent
Fried Shrimp was on the menu last week and I asked Gracie to help me prepare the shrimp. She loves to help in the kitchen! But....she wanted no help herself. She battered the shrimp all by herself. Of course she left a huge mess, but I was so proud of her.....such a big girl. Hmmmm, I wonder who she gets her sense of independence from? I know my family is laughing right now. Oh and by the way, that is how her hair looks when I pick her up from school every day.
Swimming Lessons
My dear friend Abi teaches swimming lessons and was able to fit a session in for Gracie at the end of this summer. Gracie is still not very brave when it comes to putting her face in the water, but she is improving. My friend was quite entertained by Gracie, here are a couple of Gracie's comments:
* When asked if she would jump off the diving board - "You know I have to be 30 years old to do that".
* When she was brought into the deep end and could no longer touch bottom - "My mom would not like what you're doing to me!"
