Mason

Playing Peek -A- Boo

We had the pleasure of babysitting our little buddy Mason last Saturday so his Mommy and Daddy could go on a date. He was sooooo good and we had so much fun with him. Gracie was so anxious to see him and to feed him his bottle. She talked about it all day long. However, I think the novelty of it wore off as the night went on and she wasn't getting our full attention. At one point, when Mason was getting hungry, she said "This babysitting stuff is the pitts". It was too funny. He was the perfect baby and we can't wait to have him over again.

Happy Birthday Ron

The 3 musketeers
Gracie has a new best friend, Hannah

My hubby turned 32 on November 3rd! We had a party at our house to celebrate the wonderful occasion. We feel so fortunate and so blessed to have strengthened old friendships and made new friendships since we've moved to Georgia. It has definitely made the move here much easier. Thanks to everyone that came to the party. It meant so much to us. A special thanks to our friends Abi and John who helped us prepare for the party and kept the margarita machines cranking. Happy Birthday Ron. I love you!

Happy Halloween

Gracie with our neighbors, Luz Maria and Bill

Ron was all geared up to bring Gracie trick-or-treating on Halloween night. He was even willing to pull her in the wagon all the way to the park......which is a pretty far walk, especially since it is up and down some pretty steep hills. So, imagine my surprise when they came back to the house within 20 minutes that they had left. Apparently, Gracie was very picky about the houses she wanted to go trick-or-treating. She would make up some excuse as to why she didn't want to go to a particular house, like "I don't like the pumpkins on their porch" or "They have spiderwebs". She asked to go home and had more fun handing out the candy at our house! She brought home maybe 10 pieces of candy!

Parade of Costumes

Primrose held their annual parade of costumes on Halloween day. Ron and I were able to go this year, for the first time. I actually stayed home sick from work that day and just went for a little while....still reeling from the Boo at the Zoo cold. The kids were adorable. There were seven boys in her class that were dressed as Spiderman and four girls dressed as Ariel. They had a little party after they trick- or- treated throughout the school and next door at the Corporate office. Thank goodness, for the teachers' sake, the the kids were not allowed to eat their candy at school!

Carving Pumpkins

Gracie had her very first experience with carving a pumpkin and all the fun that goes along with it. As you can see in the pictures, she was a little grossed out at first, but then dove right in. She kept grabbing handfuls, holding it up and letting it fall while saying "Mmmmm Cheese Omlette". Don't ask...I don't know where she gets it from. When all was said and done she was covered in pumpkin guts.......I had to carry her at arms length straight to the tub.The finished product. It was supposed to be a ghost, but turned out to be a plain ole jack-o-lantern. Good job Ron!

Like Father, Like Daughter

Ron and Gracie play so rough together, it worries me sometimes. The other day I was washing dishes and out of the corner of my eye I see Gracie flying across the living room. Ron was throwing her on the sofa and she was cracking up laughing. No matter how much Ron eggs her on, she doesn't quit. She's a fighter. A few days ago Gracie was screaming for me and when I got upstairs this is what I saw. Ron had tied her hands and feet together with a pair of socks!

High School Musical: The Ice Tour

Gracie LOVES, LOVES, LOVES the High School Musical movies on the Disney Channel.....so I was thrilled when my friend Julie was able to get us tickets to the High School Musical Ice Tour at Philips Arena. We invited our Louisiana friends Heidi and Hannah Johnson. The girls both know all the words to all the songs so we were expecting them to be singing up a storm, but they just sat there and took it all in. I think they were star struck! We had a great time and the show was really good. Thank you so much Julie! (P.S. I don't know why Blogger is underlining every word of this post).
