Today my baby started Kindergarten and what a day it was. It started off great. Gracie was super excited and was talking 50 miles an hour. Ron and I on the other hand, not so much. I didn't sleep at all the night before. Both of our stomachs were in knots. I never dreamed it would be that hard because I've dropped off Gracie at daycare every day since she was 6 weeks old. But, today was different. I was leaving her in a HUGE school with a teacher I had only met once and with kids she didn't know. Oh the thoughts going through my mind: Will she get lost, Will she eat the lunch I packed, Will she cry, Will she make friends easily, etc.
She made it to her classroom, settled into her table, started coloring and then we told her it was time for us to leave. That's when she started crying. It just BROKE my heart. I kept myself together until we got to the car. And then the floodgates opened.
My day was not okay until she called me at 2:30 and said that she had a GREAT day and she was ready to go back tomorrow........but she wants to ride the BIG orange bus :( She will have to settle for the LITTLE Primrose Bus. Wish me luck!!!

I am so glad she had a good first day, her classroom looks so CUTE! In a week or so she will know that school like the back of her hand! Let her know how proud of her we are!!
I'M STILL LOVING HER HAIR, she looks like a little lady!
The only help I can offer (yes me the crazy narotic one is offering help) is to BREATHE!!!
Forget the classroom, the teacher looks cute. We all know Ron's real reason for bringing Gracie to her first day of school. How many extra push-ups did you do in the morning?
Boo sure did dress nice that day. Spend a lot of time doing your hair?
Oh my goodness. What a big girl! Congratulations on a successful first day of school.
