We made our annual pilgrimage (and I say pilgrimage because it seems like we bring the whole house with us!) down da bayou for the Easter weekend. We have a new manner in which we make our trips from GA to LA. Instead of driving for 9 straight hours, we leave right after work and drive 3 hours to Montgomery and spend the night there, then make the rest of the drive the following day. This seems to work great! It truly saves our sanity and a few Gracie meltdowns......although I have to say that she has done really well on most of our trips.....thank goodness for portable DVD players. For Easter this year, we decided to do the same thing on our trip back to Georgia by stopping for a night at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi. Lucky for us, my family decided to come along with us! We all attended mass on Easter morning, had a scrumptious lunch at Five Happiness in New Orleans and then headed for the coast. Ron and I hadn't been to Biloxi since we had Gracie. We used to make an annual trip their for our wedding anniversary.....but that all changed when the princess arrived. We also hadn't been back since Hurricane Katrina. It's so sad to see all of those beautiful beach homes gone :(
We all took a stroll on the beach and Gracie got to fly her kite from the Easter Bunny. Then we had dinner at the new Hard Rock Cafe. And, of course I did a little gambling while we were there and won $150!!! My camera's battery ran out before we even got to LA, so here are a few pictures that my nieces took.
Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend!
