Gracie woke up on Christmas morning around 8 o'clock. She ran downstairs and said "WOW" when she saw all of her presents. She was so excited to see that Santa had brought her a scooter. She got so many presents, it was ridiculous. So many, in fact, that Mrs. Clause had forgotten how much she had stashed away since this summer so she had to give some to the Easter Bunny and the Birthday Fairy! I think Gracie's favorite gift was her Easel. She immediately put on her smock and started painted. She really likes her desk too.
The best gift of all was the gift that Gracie gave Ron and I. It was a box that she made at school with her picture on it. She was so proud and so were we. I'll never throw it away.Christmas was very quiet and relaxing this year. We never got out of the house. The weather was horrible. Ron and I decided that we will do whatever it takes to make it back home to Louisiana next year. Although Gracie enjoyed playing with her new toys all day long, Christmas is just not the same when you're not with family and friends. We missed everyone.

I hear you girl!! I told my momma we are going to start a Christmas fund for next Christmas. So my parents and brothers can fly in!!
